The photo you see here (shot by the great @jason_tiesman_birdphotography) shows a type of bird that arrives every year in early Spring. They say that its appearance is associated with the promise that something good is about to come in our lives. It’s a symbol of progress and renewal to come. Coincidentally, I found out that this colorful creature called the “Eastern bluebird” is the official New York State Bird. This picture also precedes my post for tomorrow, that is a video of me singing a song that I covered as my attempt to lighten spirits and soothe some of the fear that we all are facing in the current situation 💙

Excuse me for the following long post, but now I feel like showing up after a long break from social media. *** It’s the beginning of April. Spring is blossoming with its flowers, smells, colors and sounds that have always instilled hope and positivity. Like every year, at this time during the night, nature awakens. When I am awake too, it brings me peace to listen to the sound of the birds singing the arrival of the new season. This year it happened again. Birds sing in New York, but at the same time, on the streets, other deafening sounds reverberate too. The sound of the ambulances scream the emergency, reminding us that it is the era of "social distancing", and to protect ourselves and others physical isolation in our homes is vital. The paradox is, while everything is springing to life, the death emanating from the #Covid19 season, whose signs of danger have been underestimated by many, myself included, shadows the beauty of Spring. ***
After a long period of denial of the current situation, and feeling overwhelmed by it, I initially felt paralyzed and was reluctant to do anything. I am an Italian citizen and musician from the small region of Molise in Southern Italy, but I have been living for several years in New York, the new epicenter of the current pandemic in the United States. I, like many, suffer as the situation evolves both in my country and in the one that hosts me and where I have created my new home. I am worried both for my loved ones and friends in Italy and for the people close to me here in New York. But I am also concerned for all others who are the most vulnerable ones among us, who remind us that we all are vulnerable in reality. ***
It’s so much clearer, now more than ever, to understand and feel how our interdependence is an integral part of our being and our daily commitment to integrate this reality is necessary for our collective salvation. ***

On a day off of this tour in Switzerland I’ve done something really special to me. I met this beautiful creature called Leni who so patiently and calmly let me riding him. I always loved horses, super sensitive and loving animals. Many thanks to my good friends Carlo, Rita, Asia and Leni who made my day making this ride happen! Sometimes very little like nature and animals are needed to feel better and at piece with the world 💗🐴 P.s. There were some funny moments too...swipe left and watch yourself 🤣
